Getting Started
Download & Install
- iOS: Available on the App Store.
- Android: Available on Google Play.
Account & Subscription
Subscriptions
PatrolView offers additional features through a subscription:
| Subscription Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| No Adverts | Remove all ads from the app for uninterrupted use. |
| Premium Tiles | Access high-resolution map tiles for better visibility during patrols. |
Managing Subscriptions
- Press the “i” button in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- From the Settings & Subscriptions menu, you can:
- Upgrade or cancel your subscription
- Manage payment information
- Restore purchases
Using PatrolView
- Dashboard: View active patrols, locations, and team members in real-time.
- Starting a Patrol: Tap Start Patrol, select your team and route, then tap Begin.
Controls & Gestures
| Gesture | Action |
|---|---|
| Swipe Up / Down | Toggle patrol speed (slow, normal, fast). |
| Swipe Left / Right | Change map theme (light, dark, satellite, etc.). |
Map & Location Tracking
PatrolView provides flexible location tracking for your patrol:
- Tracking Modes Button: Tap the button on the map to cycle through:
- Tracking Location – follow your GPS location on the map.
- Location with Heading – follow your location and orientation.
- No Tracking – static map view; location not tracked.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| App crashes on launch | Ensure you are running the latest version. Restart your device. |
| Cannot login | Check internet connection and credentials. Reset password if needed. |
| Subscription not working | Tap the “i” button, verify subscription status, or restore purchases. |
| Location not updating | Enable location services for PatrolView in device settings. |
| Gestures not working | Make sure you are swiping within the map view area. |
